Abstract To the Editor.— The publication by Fisher, Stamps, and Skipworth, in the September Archives, of a case purporting to be a possible variant of Kyrle's disease, based on my own publication of a similar case in 1947, prompts me to send you the following correspondence. It seems to me to be completely self-explanatory.Parma, ItalyJuly 17, 1947 Dear Colleague: I have read (in the Arch. of D. a. S., May, 1947, p. 633) your report "Hyperkeratosis Penetrans."Inasmuch as I have worked with related diseases, I am in a position to form an opinion about the case you presented, which has nothing to do with the picture described by Kyrle (did you read Kyrle's work and observe its illustrations?) but is rather a most banal case of keratodermia punctata palmare et plantare. These are cases we observe at least four times per year and by this time do not http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Archives of Dermatology American Medical Association
