Abstract Two patients with tinea nigra were treated with tolnaftate solution. Temporary clinical clearing occurred in one, but in the other there was no clinical improvement. Mycologic findings, however, remained positive in both cases. Tolnaftate solution did not inhibit the growth of these strains of Cladosporium werneckii in vitro. References 1.
