Abstract To the Editor: In regard to the follicular keratotic lesions of lichen planus, histologically we can only say that in our very limited experience with this group, these may be histologically nonspecific.Merely to answer the question of the number of patients below the age of 15, we did not record the patients in this manner, but rather we recorded 10 patients between the ages of 10 and 19.We are aware of the opinion expressed by some (but not necessarily accepted by all dermatologists) that lichen nitidus might be a form of lichen planus. Since our paper was intended to review the variations and course of lichen planus, we did not wish to express an opinion on this controversial subject. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Archives of Dermatology American Medical Association
