Abstract Generalized Pityriasis Rosea, with Palmar, Plantar and Genital Lesions. Presented by Dr. William Leifer. F. R., a white man aged 47, married, a salesman, first appeared at the Lower West Side Social Hygiene Clinic of the Department of Health on Oct. 28, 1941. He stated that he had had a penile sore in 1920 and that a diagnosis of syphilis was made in the United States Army. He received both intravenous and intra-muscular injections for one year. Repeated serologic tests of the blood since then have given negative results, the last having been performed about four months ago.On admission he complained of a nonitching eruption which had appeared more or less abruptly about one week previously. He stated that there had been no precedent penile or other lesion. There was no history of the ingestion of drugs.The eruption involved the neck, trunk, arms, forearms, thighs and legs.
