Presented by Dr. Norris. M. H., a man, aged 60, married, was seen in April, 1928, because of a dermatitis on the right cheek near the ear and on the right side of the chest near the nipple. The latter lesion first appeared following a burn from an electric wire. This crusted over but would not heal. Two or three weeks after the burn, a "blister" occurred on the right cheek. The lesions improved under local applications but did not entirely heal. DISCUSSION Dr. Hollander: I consider this case one of factitious dermatitis. The reasons for this diagnosis are based on several things observed. There are numerous lesions over the face and on the anterior wall of the chest. The most prominent is the lesion on the face about the right ear. The configuration of this lesion is angular at one end and slightly rounded below.
