Abstract This, the fourteenth volume of the collected works of the neurologic and psychiatric institutes in Budapest and Szeged, is dedicated to Prof. K. Schaffer on his seventieth birthday. It is composed of collected papers from these laboratories and clinics published during 1934. Nonne has written an appreciation of Schaffer, and Ramón y Cajal contributed an article on the neuron theory. The subjects discussed cover a wide field and are indicative of Schaffer's broad interests. The volume is of the same high standard of excellence as the previous studies from these internationally famous clinics.
