THESE ADDITIONAL CONTENT SPECIFIC TERMS OF SERVICE (as defined in our Terms of Service referenced below)”) ARE A PART OF THE LEGAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND DEEPDYVE INC. ("DEEPDYVE") THAT GOVERNS YOUR ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE DEEPDYVE SERVICE. THESE CONTENT SPECIFIC TERMS, INCLUDING ALL UPDATES HERETO, APPLY TO YOUR ACCESS AND USE OF CERTAIN WORKS, SUB-SETS OF CERTAIN WORKS OR OTHER CONTENT THAT MAY BE AVAILABLE TO YOU THROUGH THE DEEPDYVE SERVICE AS SPECIFIED BELOW, AND ARE A PART OF, SUPPLEMENT, AND ARE INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE INTO THE DEEPDYVE TERMS OF SERVICE, AVAILABLE AT https://www.deepdyve.com/corp/terms-of-service (THE “TERMS OF SERVICE”). ALL CAPITALIZED TERMS NOT OTHERWISE DEFINED HEREIN SHALL HAVE THE MEANING SET FORTH IN THE TERMS OF SERVICE.
BY USING THE DEEPDYVE SERVICE IN ANY MANNER, OR BY CLICKING “ACCEPT” OR “AGREE” TO THE AGREEMENT, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE CONTENT SPECIFIC TERMS. DEEPDYVE MAY REFUSE ACCESS TO THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ACCESS TO THE WORKS OR OTHER CONTENT SUBJECT TO THESE CONTENT SPECIFIC TERMS, FOR NONCOMPLIANCE WITH THESE CONTENT SPECIFIC TERMS OR ANY OTHER PART OF THE AGREEMENT.
"You” as used herein means the Purchaser that purchases a subscription to the DDL Service, and, in the case of Enterprise Purchasers, its Enterprise Users. If a particular term of this Agreement applies only to you as a Purchaser or only to you as a user, this Agreement will so specify. In the event of any conflict between the terms or provisions of the Terms of Service and these Content Specific Terms, the terms and provisions of these Content Specific Terms shall prevail.
1. SPRINGER NATURE CONTENT
1.1 USE OF AI. You are expressly prohibited from using Works or other Content from Springer Nature (or any part thereof) in connection with any Artificial Intelligence Systems, including without limitation, to develop, train, program, improve, and/or enrich any such system or permit any third party to any of the foregoing. For purposes of this Section, “Artificial Intelligence Systems” includes, but is not limited to, “a computer-based program, system, or tool that possesses the ability to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. These tasks may include, without limitation, learning from data, reasoning, problem-solving, understanding natural language, recognizing patterns, making decisions, and/or creating new content (e.g., text, images, code, video, and audio).
