Objectives The aim of this study was to compare eptifibatide and abciximab as adjuncts to primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Minimally-invasive approaches have become increasingly important in cardiac valve surgery. Smaller incisions have become commonplace in many major centers. We reviewed the existing literature and present the current state-of-the-art of minimally-invasive valve operations in this paper.
Objectives The aim of this study was to demonstrate the feasibility of combining the novel heart valve replacement technologies of: 1) tissue engineering; and 2) minimally-invasive implantation based on autologous cells and composite self-expandable biodegradable biomaterials.
