Some Results on Generalized Inverse of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Matrices

Pradhan, R.; Pal, M.

2014 Fuzzy Information and Engineering

doi: 10.1016/j.fiae.2014.08.001

AbstractIn this paper, pseudo-similar intuitionistic fuzzy matrix (IFM) is defined with some properties of pseudo-similar and semi-similar IFMs studied. Here it is shown that, the pseudo-similarity relation preserve idempotency and regularity for the IFMs. After characterizations of symmetric IFM are discussed, it is shown that symmetric and idempotent IFMs possess symmetric Moore–Penrose inverse. Some results are investigated regarding the group inverse of IFMs.

An L-Point Characterization of Normality and Normalizer of an L-Subgroup of an L-Group

Ajmal, Naseem; Jahan, Iffat

2014 Fuzzy Information and Engineering

doi: 10.1016/j.fiae.2014.08.002

AbstractIn this paper, we study the notion of normal -subgroup of an -group and provide its characterization by an -point. We also provide a construction of the normalizer of an -subgroup of a given -group by using -points. Moreover, we also discuss the product, homomorphic images and homomorphic preimages of normalizers.

Solving Matrix Games with I-fuzzy Payoffs: Pareto-optimal Security Strategies Approach

Aggarwal, A.; Chandra, S.; Mehra, A.

2014 Fuzzy Information and Engineering

doi: 10.1016/j.fiae.2014.08.003

AbstractA recent research work of Clemente etal. [12] on Pareto-optimal security strategies (POSS) in matrix games with fuzzy payoffs is extended to I-fuzzy scenario. Besides, the membership and the non-membership functions of the I-fuzzy values for both players are obtained by employing the technique of multiobjective optimization. The presented approach provides an efficient solution to a class of I-fuzzy matrix games with piecewise linear membership and non-membership functions. This class also includes I-fuzzy matrix games with triangular and trapezoidal I-fuzzy numbers as special cases. Further, POSS approach also provides an approximate solution to I-fuzzy matrix games with payoffs as general I-fuzzy numbers.

Noor, Rana; Srivastava, Arun K.

2014 Fuzzy Information and Engineering

doi: 10.1016/j.fiae.2014.08.004

AbstractWe identify a Sierpinski object in each of the three categories of interval-valued I-fuzzy topological spaces, interval-valued fuzzy topological spaces, and I-fuzzy topological spaces and, among other things, use these to characterize them and their respective -objects.

New Concepts of Feasibility and Efficiency of Solutions in Fuzzy Mathematical Programming Problems

Attari, H.; Nasseri, S.H.

2014 Fuzzy Information and Engineering

doi: 10.1016/j.fiae.2014.08.005

AbstractSome new concepts in regards to -feasibility and -efficiency of solutions in fuzzy mathematical programming problems are introduced in this paper, where is a vector of distinct satisfaction degrees. Based on the defined concepts, a new method is suggested to solve fuzzy mathematical programming problems. In this sense, the proposed approach enables decision makers to take into account more flexible solutions by allowing desired distinct satisfactions in constraints. In the case of linear problems with fuzzy constraints, multi-parametric programming is employed to obtain the optimal solution as an affine function of distinct satisfaction degrees. In particular, it proves that the obtained solution is convex and continuous. Therefore, the different optimal solutions can be obtained by a simple substituting the new values of satisfaction parameters into the parametric profiles without any further optimization calculations, which is desirable for online optimization and sensitivity analysis of the profit to satisfaction parameters.

Fuzzy Weak Regular, Strong and Preassociative Filters in Residuated Lattices

Yang, Wei

2014 Fuzzy Information and Engineering

doi: 10.1016/j.fiae.2014.08.006

AbstractIn this paper, the notions of fuzzy weak regular, strong and preassociative filters are introduced with some properties of them investigated. In particular, under the context of Glivenko algebras, fuzzy weak regular filters and regular ones are equivalent and characterizations of Glivenko algebras are concluded by characterizations of fuzzy strong filters. At last the notion of fuzzy preassociative filters are defined, which are proved to coincide with fuzzy Boolean filters, and then some new alternative definitions of Boolean algebras are obtained by this type of filters.

Fuzzy Operands of Semigroups

Pal, Pavel; Sardar, Sujit Kumar; Mukherjee, Rajlaxmi

2014 Fuzzy Information and Engineering

doi: 10.1016/j.fiae.2014.08.007

AbstractWe first obtain results of fuzzy operands of semigroups. Then some nice interplays between operands of a semigroup and its fuzzy suboperands are obtained in terms of decomposition. These are then used to revisit one important result of semigroup operands viz. “there exists a bijection between the set of all decompositions of a right operand over a semigroup and the set of a special type of operand equivalences on ”.

Fuzzy Multi-fractional Programming for Land Use Planning in Agricultural Production System

Mishra, Babita; Nishad, Anil Kumar; Singh, S.R.

2014 Fuzzy Information and Engineering

doi: 10.1016/j.fiae.2014.08.008

AbstractIn this paper, we present a multi-objective linear fractional programming (MOLFP) approach for multi-objective linear fuzzy goal programming (MOLFGP) problem. Here, we consider a problem in which a set of pair of goals are optimized in ratio rather than optimizing them individually. In particular, we consider the optimization of profit to cash expenditure and crop production in various seasons to land utilization as a fractional objectives and used remaining goals in its original form. Further, the goals set in agricultural production planning are conflicting in nature; thus we use the concept of conflict and nonconflict between goals for computation of appropriate aspiration level. The method is illustrated on a problem of agricultural production system for comparison with Biswas and Pal [1] method to show its suitability.
