Four profiles were sampled from three mires situated near the town of Světlá nad Sázvou in the western forland of the Bohemian-Moravian Uplands. The sites were studied pollen analytically. In one of the profiles macroscopic analyses were also carried out. The aim of the analyses performed was to provide data for reconstructing the vegetational evolution in the area under study. A survey of vegetation changes from the Late Glacial (Alleröd) up to the present was obtained. Special attention was devoted to the composition of original forest stands and to their changes due to the impact of man. The results were compared with the conclusions of the geobotanical reconstruction mapping, of forest-type mapping, of the biogeographical mapping, and of archives of forest records.

The present paper describes six species of agarics occurring in Kashmir Valley—Lentinus lepideus, Lentinus strigosus, Pleurotus platypus, Clitocybe infudibulformis, Conchomyces bursaeformis andLeucopaxillus albissumus. Three species—L. lepideus, C. infundibuliformis andC. bursaeformis, are reported for the first time from India.

The paper presents some data on the weed vegetation of soya bean fields in lowlands and on the slopes of the Changbaishan Mts., in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Two plant communities,Acalypho australis-Digitarietum pectiniformisDostálek, Kolbek etJarolímek 1990 andCephalonoploso segetii-Geranietum eriostemoniiDostálek, Kolbek etJarolímek 1990 are described and their syntaxonomy briefly discussed.

The present work collects the new names of syntaxa (in the sense of the Code of Phytosociological Nomenclature,Barkman et al. 1986) above subassociation rank found in the literature received by the Library of the Conservatoire Botanique in Geneva. For the year 1987, 460 names have been listed. For each one of them, an appreciation about its validity is given relating to the Code of Nomenclature.
