The development of psychological internship training
doi: 10.1037/h0053807pmid: 21002979
The problem of psychological internships has been approached from two sides. Various agencies and institutions have developed their own training programs; professional organizations have appointed committees to consider internship as a part of standardized graduate education in clinical psychology. This article considers (1) the early period of discussion (1846-1930), (2) pioneer internships introduced by clinics, and (3) recent efforts to establish a standardized curriculum. 99-item bibliography.
