Summary: GEMODEL is a general equilibrium program for instruction and research. Users can input data, delete and restore equations, and change coefficients. They can compare base runs to altered runs. The software cannot generate graphs. Because of cumbersome commands and an unclear manual, users should know MS-DOS. Because of the model's sophistication and the lack of a tutorial, users should also know microeconomics and modeling. GEMODEL is recommended for use at the graduate level.

Summary: PSYCHWORLD consists of 14 programs designed to allow instructors to demonstrate basic psychological research paradigms or to allow introductory undergraduates to perform those experiments. Whether one is exploring the brain for feature detecting neurons or probing the associations of a dreamer, the programs actively involve the user in manipulating variables and observing the outcomes. Although the educational opportunities of the programs are often underdeveloped, PSYCHWORLD provides an excellent tool for students to experience the excitement and intrigue of psychological research.
