Purpose. Peptides derived from the Domain 1 of the adhesion molecule ICAM-11-21 are being developed as targeting ligands for LFA-1 receptors expressed on activated T cells. This work aims to elucidate the binding and internalization of ICAM-1-derived cyclic peptides (cIBL, cIBC, and cIBR) to LFA-1.

Purpose. pH-triggered microparticles release their therapeutic payloads at acidic pH (e.g., in the phagosome), making intracellular drug delivery more efficient. Here we modify lipid-based microparticles that are safe and efficacious in nerve and brain and are potentially inhalable, making them pH-triggerable by incorporating an acid-soluble polymethacrylate, Eudragit E100 (E100).

Purpose. Antisense oligonucleotides (AON) against junction EWS-Fli-1 oncogene (which is responsible for the Ewing Sarcoma) are particularly interesting for targeting chromosomal translocations that are only found in tumor cells. However, these AON have proved in the past to be ineffective in vivo because of their susceptibility to degradation and their poor intracellular penetration. The aim of this study was to improve the delivery of these molecules through the use of nanotechnologies.
