The Birmingham University Library contains over 1.7 million items and has 26,000 registered borrowers. It has a staff of over 130 and serves a user population of over 10,000 full time students and 1,500 academic and research staff. Around 26,000 new volumes are added to the collection annually. Current periodical subscriptions number over 4,000.

BLCMP Library Services Ltd. have been closely involved with the development of standards for the book trade since the initial formation of the Book Trade Electronic Data Interchange Standards BEDIS Committee in 1986. In particular, BLCMP have played a major role in the formation and promotion of standard formats for commercial messages, including orders, order acknowledgments, invoices and delivery notes.

The King's Fund Library, based in Camden, London, was the first UK library to install the UNICORN Collection Management System from SIRSI. This special library, which has an extensive collection of material on health and social care management, is open to the public, and serves a wide variety of usersNHS staff, students, management consultants, as well as King's Fund staff and members of the general public interested in health care management.
