(Aug. 10 issue)1 recently reported two cases of vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT)–like anti–platelet factor 4 (PF4) disorder associated with adenovirus infection. We now report the case of a 40-year-old woman with a 10-day history of fever and respiratory symptoms who was admitted to our department for severe intracranial bleeding and multiple venous thrombotic events (segmental pulmonary embolism and portal- and popliteal-vein thromboses). Severe thrombocytopenia, hypofibrinogenemia, and elevated d-dimer were present. A plasma sample showed a VITT-like antibody reactivity profile2 according to the results of three different assays (
