ken albala teaches history at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. He is the author of Eating Right in the Renaissance (2001) and Food in Early Modern Europe (2002). Albala serves as editor of a new series from Greenwood Press, "Food Culture Around the World." When not thinking about food, or cooking with his two young boys, he makes functional pottery. maría claudia andré is an associate professor of Hispanic doug fishbone is a sculptor and conceptual artist living and working in New York City and London. His work, which uses impermanent materials and processes, has been widely exhibited in the u.s., Latin America, and Europe and has been featured in numerous publications, most recently in The Banana Sculptor, The Purple Lady and The All-Night Swimmer (2002). Fishbone is currently pursuing a graduate degree at Goldsmiths College, University of London. peter kahn is a translator and teaching associate at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
