Baihurskii No qualified application for the 300 - 400~ straight-run cuts is sometimes found due to the significant concentration of sulfur and aromatic hydrocarbons and the high solid point. The quality indexes of the cut are reported in Table 1. Traditional solvent treatment, low-temperature dewaxing, and hydrotreating can be used for converting the cut into the basic components of lube oils. When low-temperature dewaxing is not part of the oil unit scheme, a nontraditional approach to solving the problem is possible.
