Tekmar/Heraeus Incubator Saves Both CO 2 and Oxygen The Tekmar/Heraeus CO2/O 2 Incubator is considered the most sophisticated in the world and one of the reasons is its ability to conserve gas ... both oxygen and carbon dioxide. This incubator does not rely upon the addition o f a gas mixture or a system of flowmeters proportioning the gases. This is a continuous f l o w situation which is precise but means a constant f l o w of gas. The Tekmar/Heraeus senses the carbon dioxide w i t h a thermal conductivity detector which adds gas only when it is needed, not on a continuous basis. The oxygen is monitored the same way, but with a Clark electrode. This results is a "gas saver" situation or more milage on a tank of gas. The incubator has many other features not found in competitive incubators. It is designed for the highly technical laboratory w o r k being done today. LC/FID Detection System A complete "universal" LC detection system is now available fr0~ Tracor. The system includes the Model 945 L C / F I D , 951 HPLE Pump, 925 Column Oven and 3392A Computing Integrator.
