In Order to free the investigator from the necessity of rt:~tr~ and attending the columns, we have construean electronicaU Y controlled mechanism which takes OVerthe following functions of column chromatography: I. COnstant speed of flow. Only one drop can leave the column within a span of time which can be selected at will. 2. The elution mixtures needed for the chromatography, Which are held in reservoirs, are made to enter the column in the desired order. 3.
