Abstract
PPrreelliimmiinnaarryy PPrrooggrraamm TThhee sseeccoonndd AAccccoouunnttiinngg HHiissttoorryy IInntteerrnnaattiioonnaall CCoonnffeerreennccee OSAKA, 8-10 August 2001 Sponsored by Osaka City University Accounting History is the journal of the Accounting History Special Interest Group of the Accounting Association of Australia and New Zealand. The conference will feature papers which comply with the editorial policy of the journal. Accounting History publishes quality historical papers that may be concerned with the establishment and development of accounting bodies, conventions, ideas, practices and rules. They should attempt to identify the individuals and the local, time-specific environmental factors which affected accounting, and should endeavour to assess accounting's impact on organisational and social functioning. Conference papers will embrace a wide range of topics, using a variety of approaches including biography, prosopography, business history through accounting records, institutional history, public sector accounting history, comparative international accounting history and oral history.
