There is more than one way of learning what kind of house is a labour-saving house : one of them is to live and do the work in the labour-making house, and that is how most of us learn. Let us then visit, in imagination, one or two of these destroyers of women's health and happiness. Home No. 1 is, I regret to say, a modern working-class house. There are three bed rooms, scullery-kitchen, living room, parlour, larder and bath room.
