Book NotesThe Green Revolution: An International Bibliography, M. Bazlul Karim. 1987. Greenwood, Westport, CT. 288 pages. Index. ISBN: 0-313-24846-X. $45.00 SAGE Publications, Inc.1988DOI: 10.1177/027046768800800386 This bibliography provides source materials on the Green Revolution. A compilation of citations to works by agronomists, anthropologists, economists, geographers, political scientists, and sociologists, the work offers a broad perspective on the issues associated with the development and adoption of the new biological-technological advances in agriculture. Although most of the literature included was published in the late 1960s and 1970s, the bibliography contains material published through 1984. In addition to the bibliography, which contains more than 2,000 entries, the author has included a review essay surveying the literature and discussing the issues, experiences, and status of the Green Revolution in various parts of the world, a chapter composed of studies focusing on several issues related to the Green Revolution, a bibliographical chapter of other literature on world food and population problems, an author index, and a subject index.
