The purpose of this study was to explore Aboriginal nurses'perspectives of the reasons for the high rate of pregnancy in Aboriginal adolescents in eastern Taiwan. The concerns of the commentator can be summarized into two points. One is related to data collection, and the other is related to data analysis. For data collection, the commentator suggested we could strengthen this study by including adolescents, their male partners, the parents, and the grandpar- ents (person) as participants, interviewing adolescents during pregnancy and 1 year later (time), and expanding sites of data collection (location). We have two main reasons why we interviewed Aboriginal nurses rather than Aboriginal adolescents. First, we want to design training programs for Aboriginal nurses to help these adolescents. Through this study, we can understand what Aboriginal nurses perceived and then clarified and addressed their concerns in the programs.
