Abstract
Report The fourth Accounting History International Conference Lúcia Lima Rodrigues University of Minho It was a pleasure to convene and attend the fourth Accounting History International Conference. Approximately 100 delegates attended the event that was successfully held in Braga, Portugal during the 79 September 2005. Delegates were drawn from each of the five continents and travelled from a total of 22 countries to attend the conference. The quality and diversity of the papers and the high standard of the presen- tations made were features of the conference. In addition, the social program of the event was varied and enjoyable. In total, 76 papers, excluding the three plenary papers, were submitted for consideration for presentation at the conference. Of these papers, 59 papers were delivered during the parallel sessions, 10 were not accepted for presentation and seven were withdrawn. All submitted papers were subjected to a double-blind review process. Many papers were accepted subject to revision, thus ensuring that the quality of accepted papers was of a high standard. Marcia Annisette, Joni Young and Salvador Carmona delivered interesting and informative plenary addresses. A highlight of the conference was the second Accounting History Doctoral Colloquium that was held on 7Preview Only.
