It is necessarily selective, highlighting specific sectors or themes as and when they feature in the news. Culture and the internet ARTE Live Web. On 28 May 2009, the Franco-German cultural TV channel ARTE put this use- ful new site online. The site makes available video recordings of a wide range of very recent music, theatre and dance shows. In some cases, performances can be seen live. The site is still developing, but ARTE has so far drawn up partnership agreements with a number of venues and it aims eventually to be streaming 200–250
