Abstract
MULTINATIONAL STUDENT SURVEY PAPERS The following papers were all based on the multinational student survey (MSS) designed by Finlay, Iversen, & Raser (1969). The MSS questionnaire contained about 200 items and was ad- ministered to more than 5000 male university students in Africa, American, Asia, and Europe. The analyses were based on mean scores, standard deviations, and correlation coefficients. Factor and typal analyses of data from ten different national groups showed that a general dimension of compassion- compulsion fitted most of these groups fairly well, but the fit was best for students from Western developed nations. 2.
