Time: Administering : approximately twenty minutes Scoring : ten minutes Scales: Job Maturity Score Psychological Maturity Score The Maturity Scale was developed from Hersey and Blanchard's Situational Leadership Theory. The two forms (Self Rating and Manager Rating) are identical except that the latter is intended as the basis for appraising the performance of a "target" subordinate on designated objectives. Both objectives and dimensions are chosen by the person using the instrument on the Self-Rating Form. Objectives and dimensions are selected for each employee by a manager on the Manager-Rating Form. The two scores are entered into a matrix that indicates the "appropriate" leadership style for each of the designated objectives and/or responsibilities.
