The Blue Cross Commission of the American Hospital Association said June 13 that a first quarter increase of 902,408 new members this year lifted the membership in United States and Canada to 30,254,456. The United States (including Puerto Rico) has 28,184,777 members in its 84 plans and Canada 2,069,679 members in five plans.
