The format and design of this concisely written ioo-page book add significantly to its value. The generous use of topic heads, white space, humorous illustrative sketches, boxed key points, and cleverly designed check lists, makes reading and understanding easy. The book itself describes the conference method and the conduct « of various types of conferences. A large segment of the material is devoted to the conference leader and his responsibilities. It would seem to this reviewer that the proportion of material given to this area might well have been cut and more space assigned to the role . of the participants. Nevertheless, the conference often flies or falls on the basis of the leader, and perhaps this was Estrada's viewpoint. In any event, the author directs most of the book to the conference leader and his tasks. Estrada reviews the conference leader's qualifications and then goes on to make suggestions to him on
