It is a little like being a parent, I imagine. You find a reviewer for a book, wave the book off, and hope for the best. The best being that the reviewer will find the time to read the book, complete the review and remember to send it back without constant reminders. Then, often after much chasing up, you find that your reviewer does not have the time to review it after all and apologetically asks if you can find someone else to take on the task. And so it was in this case. The book came home and I have since failed to shift it, despite it being a very attractive proposition as an addition to the book- shelf. The sheer size of the volume is daunting, and, in the course of touting it about, several people told me that they didn't have time to read it. That seems to me to defeat
