For example, the use of computer applications in data collection activities in applied research studies has increased significantly. The most recent 3rd edition of the book, Internet, Mail, and Mixed-Mode Surveys: The Tailored Design Method by Dillman, Smyth, and Christian, presents a practical yet com- prehensive and up-to-date overview of the application of technology in survey research.
