The pattern or "wave" repeats itself each time but not in exactly the same way. Probably the most relevant, if not interesting, aspect of this book for the student of social sciences is the relation between price movements and current day events. The author notes that the growth in violence and drug use are closely related to price movements. This link is largely ignored in the social sciences hence the book brings a new perspective to understanding the causes of many of our present ills.
