Since 1995, we have brought together researchers in accounting, management, history, sociology, law or economics; all convinced that the past is often unexpected and still provides much to learn from.As usual, all subject matters will be welcomed but the organizers (AFC – Frenchspeaking Accounting Association; CRM Management Research Center University of Toulouse 1 Capitole: LGC – Management and Cognition Research Unit – University of Toulouse 3 Paul Sabatier; and Management Research Center ESC Toulouse) would like to suggest a particular theme for the 2012 edition:“Images and Representations”The choice of this topic reflects the desire of the organizers to highlight the evolution of accounting and managerial professions and functions. We would particularly like to underline two aspects of this topic: first, the evolution of the representations and images of these professions and functions and, second, the gradual recourse, by these professions and functions, to images and to representations
