15th Management and Accounting History Conference Université Paris-Dauphine 25—26 March 2010 SAGE Publications, Inc. 201010.1177/1032373210346915 © 2010 The Author(s) The Author(s) Since its inauguration in 1995, the French Accounting and Management History Conference has been a key annual meeting for those who are interested in the history of management. Since that first meeting it has been a mechanism for bringing together those researchers in accounting, management, history, sociology, law and economics who are convinced that the past can reveal important (and unexpected) lessons and has much to teach us. In the 15th conference we would like to extend further this multidisciplinary tradition. As in previous years, all communications concerning the history of management will be welcome. However, we would like to suggest the following topic as a means for reinforcing the coherence of our exchanges during the conference: The structuration of economy and society through management tools This topic aims at studying how management tools can shape society as a whole: not only companies, but also the State, public agencies, associations, etc. This theme is designed to encourage us to think about the links between the political and management fields.
