C3 Collaborating for Health

C3 Collaborating for Health The website flags up the message: ‘Only by working together can we make it easier to be healthy.’ Never before has this been so important. Anything that can draw together healthcare professionals to improve services should be welcomed. C3 promotes three behaviour changes: stopping smoking, eating a better diet and increasing physical activity. The focus of its website is directed at national and international professionals, policymakers and leaders. C3 organises events that bring together experts from different sectors. It also liaises with companies to help promote health in the workplace. There are many interesting news alerts, including a report on smoking and TV in China, the global obesity epidemic and a World Bank briefing paper on the threat of non-communicable diseases in South Asia. The site acknowledges support from, among others, the American Cancer Society, the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, Nestlé, Pfizer, Sanofi-Aventis and Unilever. One criticism is that pale grey text on a white background makes for difficult reading, especially on laptops. Abstract

The website flags up the message: ‘Only by working together can we make it easier to be healthy.’ Never before has this been so important. Visit the website
