Wafter M. Streicker, D.O. 19 12-1979 Walter M. Streicker, DO., died on December 5, 1979 while vacationing in Miami. Dr. Streicker was born in Spring Lake, New Jersey. He attended the University of Pennsylvania, then enrolled in the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he received his D.O. degree in 1935. Dr. Streicker completed an internship and residency program in radiology and entered private practice in Brooklyn. In 1956, he became chairman of the Department of Radiology of the Osteopathic Hospital and Clinic of New York. Later, he also became chairman of the Department of Nuclear Medicine. He frequently lectured to professional conferences and had several articles on radiology published. Dr. Streicker was a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Radiology and a member of the Osteopathic Board of Radiology. He was a life member of the Radiological Society of North America. In his spare time, Dr. Streicker enjoyed playing tennis and was the junior state tennis champion of New Jersey. He also played national tournament tennis. Dr. Streicker will be missed by his colleagues who frequently sought his advice and counsel. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Janet Jacobs Streicker of Pound Ridge, N.Y.
