Radiographic Changes in the Sacroiliac Joints in Familial Mediterranean Fever

Radiographic Changes in the Sacroiliac Joints in Familial Mediterranean Fever In a series of 43 patients with familial Mediterranean fever, six were found to have radiographic changes in the sacroiliac joints consisting of loss of normal cortical definition, sclerosis on both sides of the joint with or without erosions, and fusion. These changes were noted despite the absence of clinically symptomatic joint disease. The explanation for these findings is unknown.
