Clinical Radioisotope Scanning

Clinical Radioisotope Scanning The Gastrointestinal Tract. A Handbook of Roentgen Diagnosis. By Fred Jenner Hodges and Walter Macintire Whitehouse. Inc., 2d ed., 1965. Chicago, Year Book Pub'rs., The first edition of this book on the gastrointestinal tract appeared in 1944 as one of the series of six handbooks on diagnostic radiology. It was authored by Dr. Hodges alone. The second edition has been increased from 320 to 384 pages and contains more than 600 illustrations. The index has been revised. The book is subtitled A Handbook of Roentgen Diagnosis. "Handbook" implies that we are dealing with a guide, manual, or reference. The small format of the book is convenient for a manual, and the arrangement of material allows for ready reference. The entire bibliography, however, includes only 79 titles, and rarely do the authors refer to it in the text. The material is divided almost equally between text and illustrations, with the description and discussion on the left and the corresponding radiographs on the right. The numerous illustrations are of excellent quality. The book could also be designated as a hand atlas. It certainly deserves the subtitle, Handbook of Roentgen Diagnosis, and it is not clear to this reader why this http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Radiology Radiological Society of North America, Inc.
