Dr. Arthur William Elliot died 28 November 1977 at the age of 50. He graduated from Dalhousie University in 1951 followed by internship and later internal medicine and pathology at Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, Nova Scotia. He took training in diagnostic radiology at the Kingston General Hospital, Queens University, Kingston, Ontario and the Montreal Neurological Institute and Sick Childrens' Hospital, Montreal, Quebec. Dr. Elliot received his Canadian Certification in Radiology in 1957 and was a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Following the practice of radiology in association with Dr. P. G. Loder of Belleville, he moved to Brantford in 1964. Here he was director of radiology of St. Joseph's Hospital as well as being engaged in the private practice of radiology. Arthur was a member of the R.S.N.A. He was an active member of the Canadian Association of Radiologists and served in several offices of the section of radiology of the Ontario Medical Association and was chairman of the section. In addition to his involvement with organized medicine, he was president of the local unit of the Canadian Cancer Society and held similar office in the local Canadian Lung Association. He is survived by his wife, Joan, and four children, 3 at home. He will be missed as an active member of the medical community in general and particularly by Dr. J. Cameron MacDonald of Windsor who was a classmate at Dalhousie; the two maintained a firm friendship through the years. With their wives, they were attending the annual meeting of the R.S.N.A. in November 1977 at the time of his death. Arthur W. Elliot. M.D. W.E. CRYSLER, M.D., F.A.C.R., F.R.C.P. (C)
