Stenographic Proficiency Test

Abstract

Reviews the test, by H. G. Seashore; G. K. Bennett . Commercial letters, without technical words, were dictated by a typical business voice and phonograph recordings made. There are two forms of the test, essentially equivalent. Five letters appear in each form: two are short and slow, two are medium in length and average in speed, and one is long and rapid. Sale is restricted to business firms for use in selecting employees and measuring their present staff.
