Letter from the Editor
Abstract
<p>This is the final issue of the Joumal under my editorship. It is a source of confidence and comfort to know that I will be succeeded by Robert Woolfolk, whom I was pleased to nominate and who was enthusiastically endorsed by the by the Executive Committee of Division 24.</p> <p>As every editor knows, the finished and published work is the labor of many hands, all of them mindful of the imporlance authors properly attach to their writing, and the expecta tions readers properly have when the pages finally reach them. I take this space to give thanks in a public way to Tim Fortin. his competence, good will and good sense yielding nothing less than treasure. I also thank the Associate and Consulting Editors who, over the years of my editorship, provided sound advice, not to mention vitally important critical appraisals of submitted work. To Edward Gantt, a special thanks for his informing, fair and engaging reviews of books.
