Editorial International Journal of Public Opinion Research Vol. 23 No. 1 ß The Author 2011. Published by Oxford University Press on behalf of The World Association for Public Opinion Research. All rights reserved. doi:10.1093/ijpor/edr007 At the beginning of 2011, we are very pleased to announce a series of changes in the structure and staffing of IJPOR’s editorial team. These changes were prompted by the rising popularity of the Journal and, as a consequence, an increasing number of submitted manuscripts. At its meeting in October 2009, the WAPOR Council decided to implement an International Advisory Board for the Journal. It was decided to appoint up to eight members to this Board that advises the editors on the general development of the Journal and on the maintenance of academic quality. Members of the International Advisory Board are WAPOR members and have achieved a high reputation in the field of public opinion theory and/ or methodology. On behalf of the Council, the members must represent the international constituency of the Journal. Appointments are for a five-year term and can be renewed.
