Abstract
A high voltage condenser discharge provoked a sharp increase in the intensity of a flux of flat-polarized light passing through a strip of the from cardiac muscle. This could point to changes in the optic properties of the tissue caused by conformative changes of the membrane proteins.Preview Only.
