Abstract
Acta Otolaryngol (Stockh) 1994; 114: 577 EDITORIAL The Acta Oto-Laryngologica Prize A new prize has been founded by Acta Oto-Laryngologica in cooperation with the Collegium Oto-Rhino-Laryngologicum Amicitiae Sacrum. The Association for the Publication of Acta Oto-Laryngologica shall defray the costs of the prize called âThe Acta Oto-Laryngologica Prizeâ. The prize is awarded for active international front-line research within any of the fields of otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery. The prize winner will be elected independently of nationality and affiliation of association. The prize will be given away every other year and the amount is SEK 50,000 (approx. US$ 6,500). The Association for the Publication of Acta Oto-Laryngologica is entitled to determine the size of the prize before each prize awarding occasion. A jury consisting of two persons appointed by the Association for the Publication of Acta Oto-Laryngologica and two persons appointed by the Collegium ORLAS will elect the prize winner. The prize winner will be made known at the Collegium ORLAS meeting and will be presented in the forthcoming issue of Acta Oto-Laryngologica.
