Abstract
ROBERT B. JENKOT is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama, Department of Criminal Justice. He earned his doctorate in Sociology at Southern Illinois University—Carbondale. His research leans heavily on the interaction of race, class, and gender as they interact with criminal and deviant behavior. He is also keenly interested in the way that criminals and deviants overcome the moral and ethical boundaries learned through socialization in order to take part in non-conforming behavior. In particular, how these factors influence a persons illicit drug use, sales, and manufacturing. HANS VERMEERSCH , Ph.D., is postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Sociology, University of Ghent. Main research interests include gender, adolescent risk-taking and adjustment, and biosociology. GUY T'SJOEN , M.D., Ph.D., is head of clinic at the Department of Endocrinology, University Hospital of Ghent. Main research interests include androgen deficiency, transsexualism, pituitary disease, and disorders of sexual differentiation. JEAN-MARC KAUFMAN , M.D., Ph.D., is chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at University hospital Ghent.
