The activity of the AQ was 1.8 · ioe dpm/mg determined by combustion according to Wegner and Winkelmann (1970) after two sublimations and one recristallisation from Chloroform [Mp 287 C; Weast, Selby and Hodgman (1965): Mp 286 C]. For counting the desintegrations a liquid szintillation counter Tracerlab Corumatic CM 25 was used. The cooks were carried out with saw dust of Fagus sylvatica (L) and Picea abies (Karst.) using the o.i--0.5 mm fraction. Cooking conditions: 4 g dry wood (4.33 g with mc = 7.7 %) NaOH 20 % + 0.5 % (20 rng) respecüvely 0.25 % (10 mg) AQ.
