Russian Materials on Turkey: A Selective Bibliography

Russian Materials on Turkey: A Selective Bibliography compiled by Rudolf Loe wen thai PBBFACE This bibliography has been limited in order to keep it within bounds suitable for the journal. The Hueso-Turkish wars have been excluded, except for a number of titles pertaining to World Wars I and II. Items on language and literature were likewise omitted. In contrast, Soviet works on earlier periods have been included because they reflect a changing attitude toward historical «events, whether biassed or not. I am taking this opportunity to thank Mr. Nicholas Poppe, Jr., for checking this, as well as the earlier MSS. of the series. He greatly improved their quality. I also want to express my gratitude to Mr. John T. Dorosh of the Slavic Reference Room at the Library of Congress, who kindly supplied me with a number of -titles on Turkey from his private files.
