What Users Should Know About the Public Ada Library (PAL) by Richard Conn, PAL Manager The Public A d a Library (PAL) is a distributed library of A d a and VIII)L* software, coursewarc, and information that contains about 2.0 BILLION bytes of material (mainly in compressed form). All items in the P A L have b e n released to the public with unlimited distribution and arc freeware in most cases (the exceptions arc sharcware). The P A L is managed by Professor Richard Conn at M o n m o u t h University in N e w Jersey under contract to the A d a Joint Program Office, Defense Information Systems Agency, U.S. Department of Defense.
