Such pages are generated for each student individually, depending on his progress in intemalising knowledge. 0 minimum requirements from the learner in terms of equipment and sottware *possibility of preparing the topic in an interesting and motivating way thanks to the qualities of the HTTP protocol (drawings, Java,animations, music, films) Keywords Teaching via the Internet, Distance Education, Education Database,Learning Process,HTML Browser 3. WAY OF PRESENTATION A poster with a schemepresenting the way in which the system of aiding teaching works, accompanied by explanations and a practical example of employing the presented method on the Internet 1. APPLICATION Using a WWW page browser a student gets connected to the server which manages the system of information from a given field. The server generates for him a page with a particular material to be learned, depending on his previous progress in learning. Pagesmay contain chunks of information, explanations, practical tasks to be completed, helpful hints, etc. On request, a student can be provided with an alternative explanation of the topic or practical tasks with a different level of difficulty. After each unit covering a certain topic the extent of intemalisation of the material is tested and, depending on the results, and on the basis of previously defined connectionsbetween the modules, the server decideswhich teaching unit to choosenext. The history of the self-study processis recorded in the databasewhich is used by the server for the managementof learning. It also serves the creator of the information databaseas the material for analysis. 4.
