Session Summary: The R a v e n s c a r Profile and Implementation Issues Chair- Alan Burns Lars Asplund, Bob Johnson, and Kristina Lundqvist Rapporteurs: Objectives Discussion The objectives of this session were to, I) review the experience obtained from implementing and using the Ravenscar Profile, 2) consolidate the Profile and look to develop more expressive profiles, and 3) identify general implementation issues on the tasking features of Ada. 2 Introduction One o f the o u t c o m e s o f the 8 th I R T A W o r k s h o p w a s a restrictive tasking profile w h i c h could satisfy the certification r e q u i r e m e n t s of high-integrity (safety-critical) real time systems.
